How to Change Your Yahoo! Mail Password

To change your Yahoo! Mail password:

  • Open Yahoo Mail, and log in if prompted.
  • Here’s a shortcut. Open the Yahoo Change Password link, log in if prompted, then skip to Step 5 below.
  • Select your name at the top of the page, and go to Account Info. In Yahoo Mail Basic, select the menu next to your name at the top of the page, choose Account Info, then select Go.
  • On the Personal info page, go to Account security.
  • In the How you sign in section, choose the Change password link.
  • In the New password text box, type a new, secure password. In the Confirm new password text box, enter the password again to confirm that it was typed correctly.
  • Select Show password to double-check that it’s the password you want to use.
  • Select Continue.
  • If prompted, enter a recovery email and phone number. To skip this step, click I’ll secure my account later.
  • On the Account security page, select Mail to return to your emails.

Open Yahoo Mail, and log in if prompted.

Here’s a shortcut. Open the Yahoo Change Password link, log in if prompted, then skip to Step 5 below.
